Vipassanā is...
... a meditative practice related to the Theravada Buddhist tradition also called "deep insightful meditation".
This is a practice, that induces to have a constant alert observation of what is happening in the present moment.
It helps to maintain an awake presence towards yourself, your body, your emotions and your thoughts, as well as the ways in which you come in contact and interact with the outside world.
Through Vipassanā we develop the clear understanding and wisdom to see the true nature of the mind beyond the veil of Maya and to discern the impact of destructive thoughts; simply by observing how they appear and then as they dissolve.
"All who try it will find Vipassana an invaluable tool with which to achieve a balanced mind filled with love and compassion and share true happiness with others."
What you can achieve...
With practice these three goals can be achieved and experienced:
The first is the concept of impermanence:
No longer do we need to strive to remember that "everything passes". Instead, with practice this will become deeply rooted within every cell of your body;
The second is that through mindfulness, concentration and relaxation it is possible to quiet the mind and let it settle into a state of calmness and gradually freeing yourself from obstacles and various destructive emotions;
The third is the state called Mettā, sharing the joy that you have achieved with all other beings and acquiring the ability to be in balance with this pure Consciousness
Vipassanā is a practical path that combines perfectly with the action of Karma Yoga observed in the Ashram, to merge and be in the Heart and to experience the state of Union within you and outside of you.
